DANDRY MIRE VIADUCT - 12th October 2001 An embankment was originally envisaged here but when earth was tipped into the bog it just kept sinking into it so a viaduct was built instead. Built between 1871 and 1872 it has 12 arches, is 50 feet high and 227 yards long. |
