BLEA MOOR TUNNEL SOUTH - 20th June 2002 66177 heads out of Blea Moor Tunnel. At 2629 yards in lenghth it is over twice as long as any other tunnel on the line. A total of seven shafts were dug, three of which were retained for ventilation. The spoil heaps can be clearly seen. |
