HOWE & CO SIDINGS - 10th May 2002 Not many photographs are taken of the rear of signal boxes, probably for good reason, but this is the back of Howe & Co Sidings. It is the fringe 'box with Carlisle Power Box and is a Midland Railway 4a design of 1916 and replaced a 'box built in 1896. The array of lines and sidings in the foreground are long since gone |
