LOW HOUSE CROSSING - 10th May 2002 156470 on the 14.26 Carlisle - Leeds. Now high above the Eden Valley we come across one of only two level crossings on the line. The wooden gates were replaced in 1975 by lifting barriers and the signal box is another late 1890's survivor. |
