66026 at Blea Moor
BLEA MOOR - 16th June 1999
The route of Blea Moor Tunnel can be discerned on the hillside from the original spoil heaps as 66026 enters the single line leading onto Ribblehead Viaduct. The track layout has changed considerably over the years and conversely the signals - the signal behind the locomotive protects the upside loop and the one on the far left protects a reversable movement from the down line onto the viaduct. The up home signal can be seen behind the signal box and the down home across from it. The down loop is no longer in use.
