AIS GILL - 12th June 1998 In the now defunct Mainline Freight livery (a company for which I was once an employee) 60078 hauls its 36 wagon load of power station coal from Knockshinnock, where it should have departed at 10.55, to Cottam PS in the Trent valley. The locomotive should work the train through via Milford, the ECML to Doncaster then over the "South Yorkshire" to Worksop. However, it may be replaced at Milford or perhaps at Worksop, dependent upon various operational factors. The empties will work back from Cottam to Milford Sidings, or they may not, again dependent upon operational requirements - merry go round train control is not an exact science! |
